Does anyone make dogbones longer than 25cm? Ideally the variable width nylon type, no dynema or open slings.

Dmm might?

Ocun has a 30cm option made of polymide.
They also have some dyneema rabbit runner style ones in many lengths, and likely your best option.
I would imagine a regular style nylon straight DBs would start getting in the way hangin' quite a bit more than 30cm.

Ghetto option would be to link two together with a quick link or carabiner

I use Cypher 30cm's all the time for trad (you can even triple them up into stubbies), but those are skinny dyneema.

Variable-width is designed to conform to the shape of the hand while grabbing, so I'm not sure how that would work with a draw longer than your fist.

Metolius makes slightly thicker long draws. https://www.metoliusclimbing.com/bravo-long-draws.html

Ghetto option is connecting them together by the carabiners.

It's perfectly "normal" to use a single carabiner between two dogbones to extend for double / triple length.

If you want extra long, but still chunky dogbones I would absolutely go for this method.  Once you go for the longest dogbones, they always get thinner.

Are you correcting me or agreeing with me? ....can't tell, but thats exactly what I'm saying.

Its common, but usually are not racked like that. Ive really only seen folks do it when pre placing draws, not that it doesn't happen the other way of course.

Kong makes a “panic” draw with a length of 45cm. Is this close to what you’d be looking for? kong.it/en/product/panic/

I picked up a handful of the cypher ones after I saw your comment in a different thread. Thanks for the info!

Edelrid makes (or made) a 45 cm Jim dogbone. Not vari-width, but nylon.

Awesome, glad to have been a help! I'm a huge fan of those. Equipped with Nano 22's on both ends, they're near-weightless. For harder trad, I use them with Photons for easier clipping. Literally every single multipitch climb with a new partner, they ask where I got them.

Perfect, seems hard to come by though

Fixe also has a 35mm one, but I can't find anywhere to buy it

I’ve got a handful of the Singing Rock nylon 16mm - 30cm draws, they’re my favorite.  Only seen them on Liberty Mountain, but I haven’t looked in a while.

Don't know whats available in the United States but Fixe make a 35cm and 70cm dogbone (16mm black nylon)
Singing Rock make a 30cm dogbones

I have stopped using sports draws for a while and just run alpine sling draws to eliminate the rope drag but had been considering the XL dogbones for when i take inexperienced climbers up multi's.

If i could get the cheap rabbit runners here in Australia  I think I'd prefer them.

I know you said no open slings. I had a few 30cm slings lying around and needed longer draws. Using what I had on hand, I slipped some 1" tubular webbing over the slings and added some o-rings for carabiner retention.  It was a little difficult getting the splice inside the tubular webbing. They work fine. I made 4 of them.

Haha yup,I borrowed the full idea from you and put nano 22s on all of them. Liked those so much I swapped out all my trango phase carbiners on my cams for nano 22s also

Blake, dm’d you, I have some of those metolius long draws, yours if you cover the shipping (maybe $6-7)

I bought some of the Metolius long draws last year in each size and love them.  I still carry a couple of alpine draws, but use them much less than I use the longs draws.  Definitely recommend.

I have one of these and it is good quality and the longest proper dogbone I have ever seen for sale.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
