I believe they had to find another leather source due to some California laws. They are coming back last I heard

Is there any reason why people go with Petzl gloves over much more affordable options? I’ve always used $10 work gloves and they’ve done great but I don’t know what I’m missing?

For me they're just what I'm used to and they have a good feel. I think the goat skin makes them feel more supple then ones that are made using cowhide. The Cordex makes them even softer, versus all leather. I also like the carabiner hole on the wrist cuff versus on the velcro tab like the Black Diamond gloves.

Read the text and you will find an explanation why you can’t get them.

Ah, someone already told you so.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
