Help with rope identification

I recently obtained a 60m rope, but I do not know how old it is. It appears to have little-to-no use and I'm sure it would be fine for TR, but before leading on it I would hope to find out its age. I do not recognize the Mammut tag, and the tag only has UIAA,EN,and CE info on it (i.e. no serial number). I believe cutting the rope and looking at the core should have some identifiable information, but before doing that I was hoping someone here might be able to tell me for what I would be looking. I cut another rope and found the pink strand inside it, but I was unable to find any source online that correlates the strand color to production year. Any input is appreciated!

With nylon I don’t know the history of I’d be far more concerned about the possibility of acid damage from being stored near cleaning fluids or car batteries than I would be with age.

I'm pretty sure I have this exact rope. 60m Mammut 9.2mm purple-ish. I don't remember the model but mine is probably about 10 years old. I may be chopping the ends soon so hopefully the core strip will reveal something.

I'm pretty sure "modern" ropes all have the date of manufacture on the marking bands at the ends (as per a CEN requirement). It's been a long time since that requirement was put in place, around a decade if I'm remembering soundly. If you have both end markings in tact and no date, it's a pretty old rope. If you want to feel good about your rope, read Walter Siebert's thesis on nylon degradation of ropes. If you don't want to feel good about your rope, read the manufacturer's instructions...

Thanks for all the replies! Much appreciated. Steven, it sounds pretty similar to the rope you described. If you're planning on cutting it, I'd certainly be curious about what you find inside.

If anyone has a source for what the colored strands from the core indicate, that would still be of interest.

The colored strands identify the manufacturing lot number to trace a rope back to its production. Some have printed info on them. It's manufacturer specific.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
