Clippable stuff sack for puffy

Anyone have a good suggestion for a clippable, small, durable stuff sack or just regular sack of some kind that can be used to stuff your puffy into, and clip to your harness for a multipitch route?

Ideally the clipping point is very strong, reinforced or backed up, and is short. (no drawstring clip points, etc). can't be danglingdown below your crotch.

I know some puffys have that functionality in the pocket of the puffy itself, but many dont. And the ones that do, the clipping point is weak and can break easily.

If it doesn't exist - call to all entrepreneurs - great untapped market...

Thoughts?

Sea to summit makes small stuff sacks made of  nylon. Check those out and back it up with some cord to hang it with

All of those bags look kinda heavy. In ice many people just use a nylon stuff sack and don't stress. A puffy doesn't weigh much and is going to be out of the way unless you're chimney climbing... in which case this is the wrong system.

I bought this recently for my Houdini, and haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. Dyneema, ultra light (5g), and very well made in Brooklyn:

Would this Sea to Summit one work for you? Clip either the one at the head or tail, back it up with the other.

I have a TNF jacket with the pocket stuff sack capability and it has been great. I have used it mostly for ice, but also on some windy and cold alpine climbs.  I agree with the person upthread who said durability isnt that crucial for this.  Really there shouldn't be anything pulling on the clipping point other than the weight of the jacket.  If you are chimneying with a puffy, I feel bad for you

When I typically multi-pitch climb, as the leader, especially in chimneys, I like to have a quad rack, two puffies, two water bottles, two rocky talkies, three chalk bags, two lead lines, and a huge backpack (and a fanny pack)

Those mesh bags BD harnesses are sold in comes to mind. If you have one of those hanging around might be worth a try.

Just use a (new) chalk bag.

Good point - they come in various sizes, including much larger than the usual chalk bags.

Ben Ha's suggestions are all good.

You can skimp on weight and durability if you want, such as a cuben fiber bag.

You just need to weight how much you want to just contain the puffy and how much you want to protect the puffy. I assume that if my puffy is going in a sack, its because it isn't going in a bag, because I'm going up chimney. So I'd want the protection, personally. I'd want at least 210d ripstop if I didn't care if the bag lasted long, 500d if I wanted it to last longer, 18ga vinyl if I wanted it to really last and really protect the jacket.

Stuff sacks are a very good easy sewing project. Its what most of us started learning with.

Travel Toiletry bag works well.  I use one of the smaller ones for my raincoat, and a snack bar.  Might want a slightly bigger size for a puffy.

I’ve used light weight chalk bags in the past.  I haven’t found a purpose built bag that works nearly as well.

This ultra light BD chalk bag would work well depending on your puffy size.

The stuff sack that comes with the Fitz Roy puffy is perfect. After like 5 years it finally failed (while packing at home), and the others I tried either didn't clip well or were too big. I emailed Patagonia and they sent me a new one. I don't think you can buy them so I guess this doesn't help if you don't have a Fitz Roy..

If durability and versatility is the main concern HMG screw canon and or alpine Luddite’s screw bag is perfect

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
