Climbing Panties

Alright guys, I'm curious what everyone's favorite climbing/hiking pants are? I've used these Kuhl pants the last few years and they've been virtually indestructible, just seeing if there's something more-better out there. My personal challenge, I prefer something that's a tailored/tapered, and fits someone with an athletic build.

I appreciate anyone's input here!

I really like my BD Forged Denim pants for trad climbing in cooler weather. They are slightly stretchy, very durable, and I think they fulfill your tailored/tapered fit requirement. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be available on the BD website anymore and most retailers seem to be sold out. Perhaps they are getting a redesign.

I have also worn the Patagonia Venga and Quandary pants which have a pretty tapered fit, but they're not very durable. They developed holes pretty quickly from scrambling and scraping, now I only wear them for sport climbing.

I like the Patagonia Hampi pants when it's warm out, however I much prefer the older version with button/zipper fly and belt loops to the updated version that has an elastic waist with a tie. The fit is pretty loose, although I find the newer version shows crotch bulge quite a bit while the button and zipper version did not have this issue.

Lots of brands have nice fabrics, but fit is another story. I think Kuhl definitely got the fit part right, and the fabrics are good too.

I'm a big fan of the Proof Rover Pants from Huckberry:

They're not clmbing pants per se, but they have surprisingly good stretch, great durability, and decent moisture-wicking. Also, I like that they look like regular, casual pants and don't look overly techy or have that "swishy" sound/look/feel.

I purchased two pairs of the Renegade Rock pants and they are honestly best climbing pants and everyday pants that I own. I wear them daily for work + weekends of climbing and they still look brand new. I will keep buying Kuhl until they kill this style or change materials. They also fit your criteria for a tailored/ tapered fit and are professional looking enough to get away with wearing them to work.

I also own the renegade shorts and Canvas jeans and I love every piece of clothing i have purchased form them so far.

Whatever I can find on sale. Right now I'm using some old eddie bauer guide pros. I like them super well enough, esp. for the 30 bucks a pair I found them on clearance for last fall.

My absolute favs tho, I'm sorry to say, were a pair of dead birds. I forget the model but they were the lighter softshell rock pants with a built in belt.

The Kuhl Renegade pants are my favorite pants of all time. Well made, light, good for all kinds of activities and look good enough that I'll wear them to my desk job too.

I was talking to a friend recently about his BD climbing pants that were wearing out. Apparently they're "for indoor climbing only"
