Budget glacier glasses/spring alpine glasses?

The cheapo walmart safety glasses I use aren't really cutting it for spring skiing in Colorado. They're a great fit, full wraparound, but not quite dark enough.

Don't want to spend the big bucks on Julbo photo-reactive glasses right now. Anyone have any favorite budget spring alpine/glacier glasses?

Shade 3/4/5 glasses from a welding/industrial supply shop, (eg these: https://www.kcprofessional.com/en-us/products/safety-and-personal-protection-equipment/eye-protection/premium-safety-glasses/kleenguard™-nemesis™-safety-glasses/25692 with either the IRUV shade 3 or shade 5 lense option). Shade 3/4/5 means they have to meet ANSI standards for UV and VLT. They are normally $8 or so. Color accuracy is crap, so they aren’t something you want to use for driving, but they do protect your eyes.

I'm a really big fan of "Flying Fisherman" brand sunglasses for a lot of activities, they're reasonably priced ($20-30 as of last purchase), build quality is good, good coverage, and polarized. Dunno if i'd use them in real glacier conditions at altitude, but they work great as all-arounders.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
