Good convenient bouldering near Colorado Springs/Monument

I'm meeting my parents at their family friend's house in Monument the 2nd week of April. My wife and I will want to try to do a little bouldering while we're there while my parents are able to babysit our 2 year old. What is a good spot for getting away for 3-4 hours (house-to-house) to go bouldering? We won't have pads so we'll just be trying to lap some easy slab or cracks or traverses with good landings. I always feel like I mis-judge driving distances + hiking distances + other factors like elevation change when planning based solely on the internet so I'm just trying to see what a local would say.

Mt. Herman seems like the best bet proximity-wise. Is there a good "after-work" area there?

Robert's Ridge also seems like a good possibility.

Thank you!

Ute Valley and the Snake Pit are good options

Agreed on Ute Valley Park and the Snake Pit at Garden of the Gods as good options. If you're able to venture a little farther, check out: https://www.mountainproject.com/area/106047363/woodland-park-boulders-the-corridor

Mt. Herman would be perfect for a few hours of bouldering. 5 - 10 minute approach and the boulders are spread out in the woods so it is pretty nice. I could loan you a couple pads possibly, maybe join you depending on what day you're going. Shoot me a message when your trip gets closer.

I'll also throw Castlewood Canyon out there, 30 minute drive from Monument and has excellent bouldering.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
