I am looking to sale my climbing gear. Between getting older and moving to a costal area with little to no time to trad climb anymore I am looking to sale almost a full rack. My gear is in really good shape and I’ve never taken any falls on my gear because most of it was new and when I was starting out trad climbing I mostly used friend’s gear. If anyone is interested I’d be willing to consider selling the whole rack for best offer, or individual pieces at best offer.

Hi, Ivey... You may find it difficult to sell your gear, here, because it doesn't look like you have any history on this site. I don't mean to make any accusations, but it may be difficult to find people willing to send you money.

It would help if you have any friends on MP who could vouch for you... Or, you could try selling some small-value items, and asking your buyers for some positive feedback.

Good luck with your transactions.

+1 Ryan. Sadly, scams on MP from brand-new accounts have become more prevalent. Not saying you are a scam but it is a red flag we all look for.

Sling dates, close-up photos, prices and some additional background would help your case.

Ryan Lynch that’s really good advice. I do have some other gear I’m looking to sale so maybe selling other smaller equipment is a step I will take.

Yeah I’ve been using mountain project for years and just never had a need to create an account. I’ve sold stuff on gear trade before (mainly mountain boots), but this is just the first place I am trying so if it doesn’t workout all good. I’m not ecstatic about the potential of me getting scammed either, so I understand. I’ve already had some offers, and I’m willing to take steps to make both seller and buyer feel more comfortable in this situation past just mountain project forums. That being said once I’ve looked through my messages and decided on the best offer I will likely ask whoever is buying to allow me to send them more pictures and more information just to make sure they are getting what they are expecting. I want to sale the stuff because I hate the idea of it sitting around not getting use which seems wasteful and I wouldn’t mind redistributing the money into other hobbies, but to be honest if it doesn’t sale then it doesn’t sale nbd. I’ll just try in person with old friends or wait until I visit a more climbing populated area and ask around. Once I get home I will upload some more pictures. Thanks for the comments

Thanks for the additional info. You sound legit to me, not that you need my permission. Best wishes to all parties, especially whoever gets that red C3!
