Anyone with a bad experience buying from Black Diamond online?

Black Diamond basically ruined xmas and now is basically holding on my refund.

A nightmare. I never expected such behavior from them.

Has it happened to someone else here?

Any detail? Guessing this story isn't one sided.

This has never happened to me over many many BD purchases.

I had a bad experience last year during their big sale where a box showed up addressed to me with all the wrong items in it. Then I realized they'd put someone else's order in my box. I assumed my stuff had gone into someone else's box. I sent BD an email and they copped to sending me the wrong order and told me to keep it, and then sent me my order too. So, yes, a mess. But they handled it well.

I once ordered some things including a hoody that was supposed to be a medium.  it was an XS.  i returned it (label provided by them), they sent a new one (free shipping).

They turned around a Belay Parka for a warranty repair (zipper) in about 2 weeks last summer.

They replaced my cam slings in about a week a few years back. came back shiny, reslung, and lubed.  hot!

Did you buy from the real Black Diamond and not some instagram knockoff?

i want to say reslung and lubed one more time for posterity.

BD reslung my C3s a couple months ago, no issue and very fast turnaround.

They're pickier about warranty claims than some companies but have never had issues with ordering gear from them, usually fast shipping. Their website sucks though. It's some single page app that doesn't manage state well, so if you have multiple tabs open you can easily overwrite your cart and lose everything.

Xmas is 13 days away. How can it already be ruined? As for the refund, if you are not happy talk to your credit card company.

my experience has been the exact opposite. they completed warranty repairs on a 20 year old bibler tent, no questions asked. it was a crap ton of work too...
