I'm looking for a resole on the West Coast I'm in the bay area. Thanks for the help

Just about any will take a few months to get back.   My favorites are The Rubber Room in Bishop and Positive Resole in Joshua Tree or maybe they are 29 Palms.   Both do great work.

Yosemite Bum (Evolv) in Tustin,CA has resoled a dozen pairs for me over the years. No complaints and never more than 3 weeks.

I've had Yosemite Bum do a lot of good resoles, but they lost me when they didn't opt to redo the rand and I blew through it within a week of getting my shoes back. (they have an option that you can check on the intake form that's basically 'do whatever we need to do to make the shoe great again')  Last winter I was taking my shoes to Valley Shoe Repair in Yucca Valley and thought they did great work.  Nice people, low key, and clearly care about the quality of work they do.

I'm on the east coast and send my shoes to the Rubber Room. They've been doing a great job for me for years now. They have a pair of my shoes as we speak, the only down side is that they are booked out 10-12 weeks lately.

Have you checked on Barry Chambers in Auberry? He hasn't done any work for me in maybe four years, and was having trouble with rubber supplies even then. But Barry is the best, if he's still in the business.

I’d try Yosemite Bum but I’m a die hard five ten rubber guy and too chicken to switch.

I'm a Rubber Room fan, but they have a 12 week turnaround time, currently. 12 weeks!

Barry is the best, period.  He did a pair of acopas for me over the summer

Another vote for Valley Shoe Repair in Yucca Valley.  Fast turnaround and great work.

If you have La Sportiva shoes, I've been incredibly happy with Tahoe Gripworks. Granted, he doesn't live in the Bay Area anymore but you're gonna be mailing to and from anyway, right?

I think that guy moved to New Hampshire or something, and that business is now defunct.

Lots of good options here, none local to the Bay, as you might have noticed. I like Backcountry Cobbler in Lander, WY.

Barry for Northern California, Positive Resole in Southern California.
Both do exceptional work.

I don’t think Barry advertises (word of mouth only) so someone will have to give his contact info. I don’t have it off hand.

No he is resoling in New Hampshire you just have to ship your shoes there. He’s the best! I’m definitely continuing to send my shoes to him!

He's still in business and doing resoles. I talked to him the other day. tahoegripworks.com/

Wow. I didn't know these guys existed. I'd been under the impression there were no resolers in the Bay still. Have you used them? If so, what was the quality like?

I have used rubber room, Barry's (guy is tops), Tahoe grip works, yosemite bum, etc.
Due to pretty high costs to resole these days and terrible turn around times from most, I decided to try Prodeal resoles in pueblo.
Communication was the worst ever and other commenters have mentioned this upon my initial research. Seriously, WORST COMMS EVER. But.....
Shoes came back in excellent shape, just as good as the others (except maybe Barry) and is cheaper than most, and got my shoes back in about 4 weeks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
