For those that use a VT prussik, which size do you find most useful, 7 or 8mm?

Anyone use these at all?

I use a 7mm tied as a double or triple wrap Prusik for a third hand below the device rapping.  Works great.

I have the 8mm but to be honest I didn't know there was a 7mm option. 8mm seems to works great with all diameter of ropes.

Yeah, I’ve worked a lot with both sizes, and to answer the OP’s question, in the hand they don’t feel very much different.   The specs say that 8mm is stronger, but both are plenty strong for any recreational climbing application.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
