Does anyone have experience with the Mammut Nordwand Advanced HS jacket?

Has anyone tried this jacket? I am looking for an alternative to the alpha SV. The advanced seems to be the best option that I've come across, at least on paper. I'd use it for backcountry touring, ice climbing, alpine season, and the like, so pretty much for an all-arounder. I would want pit zips, good arm articulation, lighter weight, decent breathability, preferably goretex pro, harness pocket compatability, and a hood to fit over a helmet. I have heard that Mammut has had some quality issues lately. Does anyone have any other recs? Thanks.

I have it. I like it a lot. It was my first gortex pro jacket. I find the sleeves a bit long but I like the fit overall. I use it for pretty much everything you have said and have also sweat in it a lot because of that. I need to wash it, but it does wet out where my pack sits after a season of ski guiding and a summer alpine climbing. Probably about 100 days of use

The pants are killer, I imagine the jacket is similarly rad.

I have it and like it a lot. The hood is massive, fits over my snowboarding helmet just fine. I agree the arms are a little long but if you use the velcro straps to cinch the wrists, it's fine. Generous pit zips. I've mostly worn it for wind/rain but I've climbed one day of ice in it and a handful of alpine rock days. No complaints!

Edit: it is super loud, hard to hear much with the hood on if you're actively moving. Not sure if that's a problem with all goretex pro pieces.

it's an extremely loud jacket, sounds like your inside a trash bag.

I have one. I think it checks all the boxes you're looking for. Haven't gotten it out on any ice yet, but it's been great in rain. Also agree that the arms are long, but workable, and I'm sure they'll be good for reaching high to swing ice tools. I like the second zipper to open it up from the bottom for belaying. Nice big hood. Build quality is good. (While I did say I have one, I actually have two - the first one I got was too big. If anyone's interested in a brand new men's medium for a good deal, let me know.)

Perfect. A trash bag for a trash climber! Sold.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
