I ordered a pair today and they had them packed & ready to ship within an hour! Shipping to New Mexico was $4.99.

Why is an admin advertising?

I'm posting as Anna (a climber) who has been waiting for these gloves to be back in stock to buy in the US since last this spring. I assume others have been waiting also, hence my post.

Idk if its a big shipment that's arrived to all stores but rhino skin also has them in stock for $45.

Looks like a shipment of new gloves came over then.

Are these different from the original version? I absolutely trashed these gloves and would not recommend them.

These are the most recent version of the gloves.

This is what I don't get, they are the same as the old version. They have done some very minor tweaking regarding what rubber they have on the back but apart from that they are the same.

There is no "newest version" it's the same product.

That's why it reads like an ad.

I appreciate your opinion. It's not an ad. Carry on.

Have any substantial changes been made?

I really liked the protection and friction provided by the original version. But, the durability of the finger loops in the original versions was completely insufficient. I would totally wreck them after a few sessions of climbing …

I’ve been using G7 and won’t likely go back. They are 2x the cost of most crack gloves, but last >5x longer … (perhaps >20 longer than the wide boyz model).

Chris, these gloves? grade7.com/products/handjam I didn't know about them. Thank you for posting the name. No small sizes in stock unfortunately.

I haven't bought the Wide Boyz gloves before so I don't know what changes they've made to this latest version. I personally need more thumb and wrist protection so I'm looking forward to trying them out.

I have owned most brands of crack gloves and G7 are by far the best/ durable. I don't plan on switching soon.

Holy crap you are simple minded.

@Anna Brown - Yes! Those are the gloves I was recommending. They are literally the only pair of crack gloves I've ever had last through a single season. The G7 ones are fully leather - so they take a little breaking in to fit your hand ... but they are super durable.

I do like the thumb as wrist protection offered by the Wide Boyz gloves. So, they might be a good option for you ... just be super delicate with the finger loops (you will see how annoying they are to take on and off ...) and don't be surprised if they die pretty fast. I would nurse them along by supplementing the finger loops with tape ... but it would only extend the life for so long.

You might also consider the BD gloves. They are aren't quite as sticky or thick as the Wide Boyz gloves, but I think they offer more thumb and wrist coverage. The fact that they are so thin can be good in those red or green jams ... Also, the BD gloves are significantly more durable than the wide boyz gloves, though not as durable as the G7s ...

Thank you for the info Chris. Very helpful!

My BD gloves were looking sorry after one Indian Creek trip unfortunately. I had to reinforce the thumb and the area on the index finger near the thumb with tape on that first trip. I have the new updated OR gloves and the Ocuns also… will give the G7s a try when they get some XS in stock. Did yours stretch a lot? I’m on the search for my favorite glove. Haven’t found one yet. I’d prefer no gloves honestly but my skin gets too damaged.

I am smack dab between S and M for the G7s so I went with S and they stretched out to be pretty much perfect

@Anna Brown. For the G7 gloves, I found that the hand ran a little big and the fingers run a little small (or just as likely, I have giant sausage fingers). I eventually settled on a Medium, where I'm usually a large or even XL in other brands. They stretched out really nicely after a breaking in period (even the finger loops). So, my advice would be to aim low in sizing if you are on the fence.

Another vote for G7. They’re the bomb and they’re bomber

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
