Simond Makalu Alpine Tent Pole Replacement

Hey,

I was given a Simond Makalu Alpine Tent (the yellow/green one, not the red one, purchase link here) because my friend is missing the poles and has since upgraded. I have been struggling to find replacement poles from the maker or good info/source for custom-made ones.

Does anyone:

  1. Have the original specs for this tent/poles (length, number of sections, material, diameter)
  2. Know how to contact Simond/Decathlon in a way that's helpful (Decathlon customer support is useless)
  3. Have a recommendation for a 3rd party tent pole source that might either stock these poles or make a custom replacement for a reasonable price?

Thanks,
Eric

I contacted Sierra Designs for replacement poles and was sent to the above company. You will need to ask about international shipping.

Easton manufactures tent poles and their website says for small order to either contact Tent Pole Tech or Quest Outfitters.

Thanks to the both of you, will update this thread with what I do and how it works. Any further info on simond would be great so I can get exact dimensions

Hi Eric--I have that tent--I think it's the one you need the poles for.  What do you want me to measure/photograph?

Could you send me a photograph of both ends of the poles and as accurate a measurement of the total length and an individual segment as possible? Thank you!
