Dislocated Finger

Hi y’all! Recently dislocated my middle finger about 2 weeks ago. Bent 90 degrees to the left. Was climbing a big wall while it happened so we popped it back into place and finished the climb. Doc said everything looks just fine and x rays showed no fractures. Said I should be good to slowly begin climbing again now.

Went to the gym today to try it out and my finger still feels unstable. I felt my finger ‘pull forward’ from my knuckle where it was dislocated and decided to just rest it completely for a while longer. Anyone have any experience with healing this injury? Timeframe for recovery? Recovery tips? Any help is much appreciated!

I didn’t have a full dislocation but it sure did feel like it. Here is how I healed it https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/123374919/an-imperfect-journey-the-story-of-spraining-and-healing-my-finger
