Hey MP,

I'm trying to freshen up the food line-up for my next big wall adventure. Looking for any food recommendations and/or interesting calorie-dense combos that would be big wall appropriate for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack, but here's the tricky piece... I'm allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and coconut. I know, I know... when I chose my allergies BITD, I didn't think I was going to get into outdoorsy stuff as much as I have. Can't take it back now, eh?

Anyway, to best not YGD on wall *from food*, if the packaging says "may contain or processed in a facility that processes (any of the above items)", which I understand is mostly just a legal blanket, it's a no-go for my big wall kitchen as I need to stack the odds in my favor.

I do have access to a dehydrator, stand-mixer, smoker, and oven so feel free to recommend anything that might need a little extra behind-the-scenes prep.

Let me know!

Max

Tasty bites +\- precooked bagged rice.

You can heat it up or eat it cold depending on how tired you are at the end of the day. From a quick search I didn’t see any of your allergens in the madras lentils, and they have lots of other flavors. The jaipur vegetables are my favorite, and I have a slight preference for seeds of change rice from Walmart as it seems to be the least hard if you don’t heat it up at all.

Kinda specific but frog hollow farms has the absolute best by several miles dried fruit I’ve ever had. It’s kind of pricey though, so I only bring it as a special treat on hard trips.

I'll put it on the radar! Thank you.

Not opposed to popping over to check them out. Thanks!

If you've traveled from outside of CA to CA -- have you had an issues with fruit confiscation at the border?

Have you tried 88 acres bars? They’re allergy friendly, pretty dense, tasty and make good big wall snacks

(read in Hunter S. Thompson voice for full effect):
"There I was at the California border, government employees inspecting my trailer for moths and citrus."

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
