can anyone speak on these skis? They were put into production a few years back and I can’t find legit reviews on them. They’re supposed to be built off a similar platform as the helio carbon but the lack of media makes me wonder if they really stand out.

I have a set of QST 104s already and am looking for a good 2nd ski for resort/spring hardpack that i can also A frame without getting in the way via weight/maneuverability.

I have them and really like them for ski mountaineering, which they are freaking awesome at due to their light weight. At lower speeds on icy slopes and chunder they are no problem. In blower powder they are no problem but don't seem the best tool. It is in heavier wetter snow, or when skiing hard and fast in resorts that their weight makes them get deflected everywhere, and it takes a lot of concentration to stay on course. I would highly recommend them as lightweight touring skis but not as resort skis.

About the last thing I would want to ski in a resort.

Good for spring peak ski missions.

Have a pair for ski mountaineering for 2 winters now. My set up is 5lbs for skis/skins/poles. Not bad in my opinion. Im 200lbs and they ski fine. I worked a winter in a ski resort and skiied them regularily there - far from ideal for the skiis but they can do it. They definately have a speed limit and they will tell you when you pass it. But great ski for traverses and skinning uphill. I just wish i had gone shorter because when alpine/ice climbing they tend to bang into things when strapped to my pack. If you wanna ski fast at the resort get something else. If you want to go on long remote trips they are great. Seems quite durable i havent had any issues yet.

I have them. It's my approach ski with ATK bindings. I skied them in powder days in Cham, worked beautifully, but any ski would. I am 144 lb and not an expert skier. I've taken lots of lessons, including a 10-week program at Mammoth, and have over 100 days of skiing in my lifetime, but still get stymied by super steeps (jump turns) and overall form. I have to take breathers on long runs. These skis chatter for me and definitely feel less stable than my downhill setup, but that might just be physics of such a light ski (my Kastles weigh like 8 lb each).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
