Anyone have experience with North Face Chamlang Softshell pant?

Looking for feedback on the $200 soft-shell version, not the future light.

How did it hold up with alpine moisture from snow/ice?

Does it breathe as well as they claim it does?

I bought it in the summer and used for a week during Chamonix in a fairly hot weather/low wind (Valle Blanche,  Argentiere Glacier) and i find it pretty good, had no problem with sweating. The other thing i liked about it that its pretty robust. I would be a bit happier if it would have side-zips though.

All in all i'm liking it but I bought it almost half the price.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
