If your Black Diamond's Half Dome helmet moves around on your head a lot, leans to the back or to the side, or just feels like it just doesn't fit right, try this adjustment.

Pull the part that I marked in the image below down so it sits lower on the base of your skull. You'll have to feed about an inch of the strap through the plastic to move it down. Then you'll need to adjust the side straps so they fit comfortably over your ears.

After this adjustment, the helmet should fit much better on your head and protect correctly. I've helped make this adjustment on probably 50 helmets and it's been night and day different for people with this particular helmet. Most helmets can be adjusted at this spot but this Half Dome helmet seems to always need to be adjusted. They ship it with the back part sitting too high on the head.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
