Anyone have a grigri 1 manual?
|
I've recently acquired an original grigri. I always like to read the manual before I use a device. But I haven't been able to find the manual for it online. Anybody know where I can find that or has a paper copy they can take a picture of for me? |

I think some of the recommended belay techniques in the early manuals were unrecommended in newer manuals. |

Can't help you with the manual, but I have a few friends who use GG1 exactly the same way they use latest GG. GG1 works really well with phat gym ropes. |

Its just a larger 2 and yeah, the Petzl techniques have changed |

Matthew, send me an email via Mountain Project, and I will send you the heavy file. I scanned this document for you this morning and I thought that you would prefer it in a high resolution. ;-) |

Adding the translated text for the next guy looking for this info. Thank you nutstory for the high res scans. |

A few years ago I witnessed a fall where the “belayer” was standing like 10 meters away from the wall when the climber fell just as she was trying to clip a bolt above her head. She hit two ledges on her way down while dragging the “belayer” across the scene. Resulted in a complicated leg fracture to the climber and a few bruises to the “belayer”. We Danes know! |
