headed to smith rock on a 2 day climbing trip in about a week and looking for ideas what to do post morning climb - looking for some recommendations on cool hikes, hot springs, (non polluted) watering holes outside of smith rock state park.

I have heard that sisters is cooler than Terrabone. Tons of alpine lakes and only a 30 minute drive

Sisters, Three Creeks Lake and hike Tam McCarthur Rim, might need a permit for the hike though. Metolius River is ice cold, beautiful though and you can do a very mellow hike along the river. Steelhead falls on the Deschutes is fairly close to Smith short hike to cliff jumping with teens. Float the river in on tubes in Bend with the masses. Or hit up the surf wave.

Redmond caves are hit or miss but are right of the road and worth checking out imo

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
