Next week me and my pregnant girlfriend will take a holiday to Northern Spain. We'll be road tripping for about two weeks but we'll also be based in Cangas de Onis for a few days to do some (short) hikes. Seeing as my girlfriend is pregnant her physical abilities will be limited which overall is not a big problem, as far as I can tell the area offers hikes and walks of various levels and lengths.
I might also be able to squeeze a day of scrambling in there, on my own. Has anybody been there before? Cangas de Onis is near the border between Asturias and Castille and Leon and looks out on the western part of the Picos de Europa. Mostly looking for around UIAA grade II, nothing too fancy as I won't have equipment and I'll be on my own.
We'll start our holiday in Bilbao so knowing me I'll likely visit a couple of outdoor shops as well to pick up maps/guidebooks - any recs?
