Just wanted to thank the group for catching this. I was mistaken and apparently purchased a fake Arcteryx jacket. A full refund was issued to the buyer and I will not be putting this item back up on the forum.

Although it sucks to lose a sale, this is what is great about this forum and community. Keeping each other in check and looking out for one another.

Thanks again all who commented and picked up on the inconsistencies. Below are the pics of the jacket again so those that are shopping can see the issues.

Thanks

I’ll let others respond if they feel like it. I seemed to have been fooled myself, so probably not the best to ask about this one.

That sucks, kudos for doing the right thing it seems like - getting harder to tell the real thing and it's been a big problem lately. I heard stories from a local shop going into try for consignment i.e. "but my boyfriend got me this for Xmas!" and they had to break the bad news; if that helps put it in perspective! Hey it might still keep you dry - I've heard some of the new knockoffs work decent

As the perspective buyer, big thanks to ZFish for great communication and quick refund, and to everyone who gave their insights. Appreciate y’all!

I dont know what the problem was with the jacket, but about the colorway/zippers..although its common to have matching zippers and base color, this variation does exist. its Pilot from 2019 collection.

The tags have some variation too depending on the year,  the thing that might light a red flag for me was the hem stitches, but i dont know for sure.. Another very good source for arc products verification is the Subreddit when they have a  monthly thread just to verify arc stuff...

if the OP already checked everything, im sorry for what happened, anyway its a good way to give people more info when buying used arc products

I’ve bought stuff before that looked legit from pics, but once you hold it and feel it and can see everything in detail it seems off.  I’ve also bought stuff that had iffy photos but in person nothing was off.  With all the subtleties between real and fake it’s hard to tell just from lowish quality pics online.

I went to a bootleg arteryx store in china.  Some of them were very very very high quality, nearly indistinguishable.  Some were hilariously off.  I have a tag from one that has a bunch of typos.
