Hello, I am traveling out to check out Cathedral ledge for the first time and looking for any recommendations for good campgrounds in the area. Traveling in a van, but not looking for an RV park type of place... Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Barnes Field Campground is 20 mins away and near Mt Washington

Town Hall Road is a littler sketch but is a "wild" camping area

Campgrounds in Crawford Notch

The Walmart in North Conway is your last option

It also has rained here for 100 days in a row. Prepare to climb 5.12 overhung routes or climb upper refuse wet.

Dry river state park is also nice.  Just a heads up with Walmart in North Conway.  North Conway  has an ordinance against camping in parking lot, Walmart doesn’t seem to enforce but you could get a knock

If I’m just up for some Cathedral cragging I like to snag a spot at the Covered Bridge campground on Passaconway rd.

Also Dolly Copp and Barnes Field to the north. A little bit of a drive, but there's a good swimming hole up there too.

EDIT: Me no read good, Barnes was already mentioned. That said, it's a spacious, stellar campground.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
