Interested in hearing suggestions and reports for nice alpine traverse routes in the high country here, from short romps to heady testpieces. Seems there's at least a few very nice if not proto-classic lines to be chased down, but very little documentation. Went on a day jaunt up around Gibson in the "reds" over the weekend to scout appealing linkages and saw a lot. Been a ways up Caesar north ridge and over to Thompson a while ago on some fun clean exposed rock. The full Canyon Creek cirque loop looks pretty epic on paper...wondering what people have been on and willing to share!
Here’s a snap of full Gibson crest from neighbor Seven Up peak (which although nondescript itself may have one of the best views in the range!). Pretty accessible in a day via Granite Lake or Long Canyon. Full traverse looks fairly involved with likely rappels, but on generally good granite at least judging by what's below it.
Bump, and a new sighting - probably the largest clean continuous face I’ve seen in the range. Not seeing any recorded name for the peak, just west of man eaten lake in the Marbles. Right most steeple buttress looks especially nice. Pretty good traverse line up and over from the right hand ridge too!
