The summer returns, and with it the season of send. Breaking into the trad game and need a starter rack? Wanna beef up your 3 rack in time for the fall Creek temps? HAVE I GOT THE DEAL FOR YOU!

I’m selling TWO, count ‘em, TWO full sets of TWO-year-old Wild Country Friends. From .4 to #3. That’s 12 cams in all! These are the backup cams—they’re not my alpha rack. THEY ARE EACH AND EVERY ONE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION—and none of them have ever taken a fall.

Meanwhile, I know what you’re thinking: Aren’t BD C4’s the gold standard? WRONG, young leader—stop spreading them lies!

I’ve climbed on Friends since the Carter administration and love, love, LOVE them. Come standard now with the chic double axles, have the wider, grippier heads (tech term!) Are, in many cases, lighter than the C4s, even though they offer superior range. And best of all, they come equipped with a three-thousand meter (approximate)! extendable sling so you don’t have to lug around as many draws. YOU’RE WELCOME!

Plus, they’re designed by tech-savvy NASA specialists (I think?) who lay down that sweet, sweet 13.75 degree cam angle, employ robust, extra wide (for that devilish, soft Utah sandstone), hot-forged and high-friction machined lobes, hollow axles and ergonomic, floating trigger design with injection-mauled thumb loops. AND now come standard with burly 12mm Dyneema extendable slings with directional pull indicators.

I have no idea what any of that means, but it’s all from the internets, so you know it’s all true! Besides, who can’t get enough of high-friction lobes and 12mm of extendable joy, am I right?!?

Don’t take MY word for it, Outdoor Gear Lab give’s em 37 out of 5 stars and says that you should buy these from me! AND buy me a pizza! (Phone conversation. Promise!)

Here’s what I got in full:

2X .4
2X .5
2X .75
2X 1
2X 2
2X 3

It’s like something out of a dream, isn’t it. Yes, you too could be a trad master hero god…if only you send me that money! And really, notta whole lot of it. Here’s what we’re working with: I’m charging (not asking) $55 for the fractionals (.4, .5, .75) and $60 for the 1s, 2s, and 3s. And that’s fair. Why?

Because like I said up top, these cams are in prime condition for used gear. ONLY TWO YEARS OLD! These aren’t the sticky springed, bent triggered, sitting-around-in-battery-acid bullshit you’re likely to find online. THESE CAMS ARE GOOD TO GO. There’s no cuts, no abrasions, no funky, right angle bent stems—the slings are all tight and snag free (even if they’re ah little dusty) and will last you AT LEAST until the sun goes nova (or five years, at least). These cams are a solid buy.

Can you find them on sale somewhere? Likely. Probably. But? They’d STILL be more expensive, plus they’d cost you MORE for tax and shipping, AND you’d have to wait until the next ice age before FedEx finds your dodgy Sprinter Van.

Buy these now and you could be crushing the Bastille Crack tomorrow! With money leftover to grab you some of that nasty IPA and a Fat Sully slice or two. What’s not to love?

OK, ok…I hear the cries: But Kelly, what if we buy a whole set? WON’T YOU CUT US A DEAL FOR SIX CAMS?

YESSSSSS, I am here to say. You buy one full set (six cams: .4 thru #3), and I’ll knock $20 bucks off. But don’t faint yet…BUY ALL 12 and not only will I take $50 off, but I’ll drive them to your door, anywhere within the greater Denver/Boulder/Golden area.

So? Again, my prices:

.4 $55
.5 $55
.75 $55
#1 $60
#2 $60
#3 $60
Buy set of six: (.4 thru 3, not six cams) $325 (Save $20)
Buy the mega 12 pack, aaaall the cams: $640 (Save $50, Oh My!) PLUS home delivery to your door off the thighs of virgins.

Three last things. First, I don’t do dirty cash. CashApp, VENMO or Zelle only, please. It’s 2023. Second, if you are OUT of the Front Range area, then yah, OF COURSE there’s gonna be a shipping charge. But still less than Backcountry.com is going to bilk you for. (Hit me with a Zip Code and let’s talk.)

Finally, and this goes out to my cherished lowballers: Not gonna happen. Not with these babies. Like I keep saying, these cams, for used climbing gear, are in prime condition. I use this set ONLY for bringing a 5-rack out for desert climbing—so these have all seen little use, and NO fall action. Besides, this isn’t my first top rope session; I’ve been on MP since before Stone Henge. I know what good cams go for, and If nobody grabs up this great deal, I’ll take ‘em to the Creek this fall and they’ll sell easily. Is what it is.
