Arcteryx customer support
|
Arcteryx was once a solid manufacturer of tough gear and had good customer support. Those days are gone. The products are fragile. It’s a fashion house now. I have had three high end shells fail for delamination- over 4 years- last one in four months. CS says pilot error- bull. The garments look great out of the box- just don’t stand up and terribly overpriced. A warranty and repair at a reasonable price should be included in the high price- forget it. If you are wealthy- buy one- $800 might work for you . If you are an ordinary mountain person- there are better options available at half the price. Customer service there is frankly terrible. Darn sad to experience. |

There is no repair for delamination. |

I’ve had the goretex delaminate in two of my shells from them in the last 15 years - both were replaced with warranty (the reason I got the second, which delaminated 2 years ago). |

I had a zipper on 2017 puffy break last JAN. They had me send it into get repaired. They got backed up and offered me a $350 product voucher or continue to wait for jacket... New puffy who dis!?!?! Experiences with ARC's repair may vary....

Delamination isn't the manufacturer's issue as much as it is the supplier or the fabric. If it was GORE-TEX then GORE will warranty it even if Arc'teryx does not. GORE has one of the best warranties in the industry and they stake their entire brand on their "guaranteed to keep you dry" statement. The lamination for GORE-TEX is backed by their warranty so definitely reach out to the team at GORE as well for help in any delamination issue of a GORE fabric.
