Rain pants while wearing a harness

I'm looking for recommendations for rain pants that won't break the bank but work well with a harness.

In my experience, most rain pants have a low crotch and get pulled up at the ankles (funneling water into my boots) when I wear a harness. Any brands/models out there that have thought this through?

I have thought about gaiters, but I'm also usually doing some climbing and changing shoes. Yeah, climbing in the rain is not the best, but sometimes necessary.

Sorry if this is a topic that has been discussed before. I'll search the next time I'm at a computer.

Sierra Designs use to make rain chaps you could just pull on and attach to your harness.

Somebody out there must still make rain chaps

Probably not what you’re looking for, but perhaps long gaiters over your boots/base layer pants but underneath the rain pants? That way the rain pants pull up past the ankle but not past the gaiter.

Maybe find some used winter alpine\ski goretex pants. They're made to not ride up and to cover your ankles usually. An old pair of goretex pants is cheap, though maybe not that light.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
