Black Mountain road conditions

Anyone know how the road up to boulder basin looks lately? Is it passable with a 4wd truck? |

It's closed until June 30 according to this https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/sbnf/conditions/?cid=FSEPRD538928 Hopefully they get it opened before then, but I am guessing there is still some snow on parts of the road. The road is 4s01 |

Had some friends hike it and said it's mostly melted to OK Corral and it looks worse in the bad spots last year but otherwise fine. When I called the Ranger station they said it was "really bad and requires extensive work" so the 2 stories conflict. |

I’ve been heading to Trailside Boulders, Twilight and Rolling Rock areas. It’s a nice hike up and fun climbs. |

Unfortunately the Forest Service doesn't exist just to make sure our roads to climbing areas are nice. I feel lucky that they even keep the road as nice as it is and that there's the campgrounds considering how shitty so many forest roads in the state are. |
