What harness is made in USA or Europe?
|
It’s time to replace my trusty old Petzl Corax harness. The tag says made in France (12!years ago) and I noticed the new ones are made in China. The BD’s and new Petzles seem to have cheap thin padding, and the one sided front adjustment results in strangely off center leg loops and stuff. So I’m looking for a new harness that does not come from the country that sells children’s toys covered in lead paint. Looking for something similar to the old Corax (left and right waist buckles ) Any leads? Does anybody k ow where Mammut harnesses are made? Thanks in advance! |

Metolius harnesses are made in Oregon. I’ve never tried their harnesses so can’t comment there (might look into them when my current wears out though) |

My current Ocun harness is apparently made in the Czech republic. The camp harnesses I've seen were from China. Czech companies also make other quality climbing gear incl. cams. |

Climbing Technology Ascent, made in EU. |

DMM make all their equipment in Llanberis, Wales, UK. This includes their harnesses. |

+1 for Ocun. Love mine. |

Another strangely racist post from someone who has no idea what they're talking about with product design. |

These days, everything one disagrees with is racist. |

I think Misty Mountain still makes their harnesses in the US, if you're into those. |

The Metolius I have w adjustable leg loops is quite beefy. Called Safe + Tech. Made in USA. |

What about Misty?Grivel? |

Yates. |

Made in US/EU means more padding lmao thank you for sharing |

The Metolius Safe + Tech is a good harness. I have owned one for some time. |

I believe Arcteryx harnesses are made in Canada. I have no experience with them, but a lot of people seem to like them. |

Misty Mountain is made in the States and the custom harness builder on their website is pretty neato |
