Anyone own both the G7 and OR crack gloves and could give a comparison on the fit of the two?

I've worn a large OR glove that fit slightly tighter than the yellow G7.

G7 is going to stretch a bit - some people say to get them a size down, but I prefer them not to be constricting (they don't slip if you're jamming with good form, IMO).

Same, though I feel like I'm a "tweener," somehow. My hands are fairly large, sideways fists is a half expanded #4 cam size, and I'm same boat on the yellow G7 glove, it would be nice if it was slightly smaller, but the next size down was just too constricting. For reference, I can squeeze the S/M OR, but am a little sloppy w/ the L/XL. If they made a M/L, it would be perfect for me. Sigh...

Will agree that the L/XL OR glove is barely smaller than the yellow G7, but the OR stretch like crazy b/c they are so thin, whereas the G7 hasn't stretched on me very much...

I was between sizes with G7 (no experience with OR) and went smaller, but they didn't stretch as much as I'd hoped and ended up getting the larger pair later. Much more comfortable, especially while belaying (making a fist) and I don't detect a compromise in performance. The G7 rep who sized me at a climbing festival told me to go for the larger size, and I should have listened to him.

I'll second this. While mine stretched a little, they are still by far the most comfortable crack gloves I've worn. I also talked to G7 and they always recommend the slightly looser fit. Incidentally, they told me that they tried to match the color scheme to whatever camalot fits your 'perfect hands' size. I'm nearly smack in the center of a gold no. 2, so yellow fits me best.

Highly recommend sizing down. They stretch a ton with use given that they are leather. You won’t be able to jam thin hands after breaking them in.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
