Looking for beginning routes around Boulder, Estes Park. Also, looking for a climbing partner.

Just to start climbing. I have a few rods in my legs, but they work.
Any place that’s easy to climb. Eventually get into bigger rock.
Preferably, scramble to the top, top rope, rappel and climb back up.

Thanks Jack…

Almost every cliff in boulder canyon allows you to scramble up and setup a top rope. So I would grab the Boulder canyon guide book and start there. some cliff suggestions to get you started

The dome

Elephant buttress

Happy hour crag

The bowling alley

The Boulderado

In Estes park

Jurassic park

for what it is worth scrambling is always more dangerous than leading sport or trad G rated 5.4-5.6 routes like on whale tail in eldo or longmont res (button rock)

and getting on rappel from a top rope master point that is set over the edge of the cliff is proper difficult and scary for most

maybe consider the tried and true old school traditional method of learning climbing which is following someone who is experienced

easy to meet partners if u post on forum colorado partners.

or at any indoor climbing gym post a hand written note

if u are living sober thephoenix.org has free indoor climbing and u can meet partners to follow
