Petzl Lynx weird fit-up

I picked up a set of Petzl Lynx crampons and I was surprised by how pigeon-toed they are.  It's seems like it would be hard to drive a point in at an angle to the hinge of your knee.   For those who's spend some time on these crampons - is it something you actually notice once you're on them?   Sometimes it's easy to fret over something from the comfort of your home but then you don't actually notice once you're out driving them.   I tried switching the spacer bars between the feet but that just made the down points sit all cock-eyed and jut out from the sole.

For comparison my other crampons (G12s and G20s) the front-points are more or less in line with the foot.  Grivel makes their bars in different curves for different curved boots but Petzl doesn't.

Seems like I remember someone posting a similar post about this in the past.  I believe a possible solution was to flip the center bar over for a straighter angle.

Yes, I had the same issue with the Lynx (Lynxes?) on both my G5s and my G2SMs.  Reversing the bar did the trick for me.  It sorted out the front point angle and left the downward facing points more or less where they should be (slightly off what I would consider "perfect," but perfectly serviceable).

Have used the Lynx crampons for several years on precisely the same climbs that you are probably doing.

Not once have I ever even noticed it to cause any problems and it’s actually an advantage in my opinion on some of the harder mixed routes in Eklutna canyon when running mono point. Makes for a much more natural angle of attack. Run a couple laps on Mad Dog with them as they are now and if you notice it, flip the center bars

I have G20s for waterfall ice and mixed.  I picked up the lynx for an expedition crampon - like equal parts ice climbing and glacier for an upcoming trip to Peru.
