I'm iso of a super light vest with a chest pocket. I went with a Patagonia Nano Air but the waist must have been 44 inches in a large, the fit was ridiculous.

I'm 6'3" and 185 lbs ish so would love to hear from people with similar frames.

The main other one I saw that has a chest pocket is the Rab Xenair. Anyone tried it?

I'm not opposed to having a chest pocket sewn on a vest as well.

Atom LT vest has a chest pocket, but the Atom SL does not

BD First Light Hybrid has a chest pocket

Marmot Novus LT has an internal chest pocket

There are probably some running vests that are worth looking at like the North Face Winter Warm

Thanks John, I should have specified that I am looking for an external pocket, which rules out the Atom and Marmot. The BD is almost 11 oz compared to ~6.7 for the Rab.

I've found that the Marmot Hybrid Variant Vest has a fairly long, kind of slender fit. Looks like it's discontinued, but likely available on ebay, poshmark, etc. No chest pocket, but the zippered hand pockets are high enough to sit above the harness, if that's your concern.

If you can get your hands on a MH Kor Strata vest that would seem to work well for your requirements. Comes in about 8.5 oz

Of the readily available options I think the XenAir is your best bet. Although, I would again suggest looking at winter running vests as they are likely to check all the boxes too

Really like my Norrona polartec alpha vest with hood.  Light, warm and great hood.  Has chest pocket.  Large fits pretty close on my 6'-2 165 pound frame - might be too tight on you, but maybe XL.

MH Kor Strata looks promising!

As I mentioned in my first post the Nano Air fit was awful so probably won't spring for nano puff, and was looking for synthetic.

Norrona is interesting but I have too many hoods already.

It hit me today that I didn't check Montbell- they have some pants that are a Nano Air knockoff that I recently got and love (Thermawrap), and turns out the have a vest in the same line that fits the reqs so going to give it a shot and will report back. I'm suddenly turning into a Montbell fanboy a bit.

Yeah I also own the Thermawrap UL pants, they're awesome. I forgot to mention Montbell for some reason.

Stellar Equipment makes a fleece mid layer vest with a chest pocket

I have a few items from them (no upper body layers yet though) and think the quality is good.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
