Visiting Yosemite and the US in Fall 2023

Hey, my name is Oliver I'm 24 and from Germany. I plan on spending half a year climbing and traveling in the US starting this fall in Yosemite. In order to apply for a visa that's valid longer than three months I need to list a contact ("friend") that I know in the US. As far as I understand it that's just a formality and you'll probably never be approached by anyone about it. And if so all you'd need to know is say "yeah I guess that's the guy I know from MP". The US embassy in Berlin seems to be pretty busy, so I want to get this out of the way as early as possible to obtain my visa in time.

So, if anyone wants to be my friend just message me. Of course I can provide some (climbing)pictures or stories of my past adventures climbing in Jordan, Chile or China or have a chat about our favourite piece of climbing gear or something like that :D

I hope this is the right forum btw, I'm rather new on this site.

First, get your year right! 'This fall' is 2023.

Yeah I know. What makes you think I was talking about another year?

The title of your thread says 2024.

Oh, that's a mistake. It should say 2023. I guess I can't change the title now, can I?
