I wonder if anyone had tried the Mammut Sender Wire carabiner? So far I can't find any good reviews online.
Context: I planned to build my new alpines draws with Camp Photon and Mammut Contact sling (I don't want the nano 22, I rack my cams on them but I don't like them for draws). But I can see that Mammut offers an alpine draw with the Sender Wire carabiner and it's cheaper than the Camp home made combo.
On paper it kind of make sense to use the Sender wire: gate opening is 25mm for 28g, making it a good option between the Nano 22 and the Photon. It would be cheaper, lighter and decent size.
I have alpine draws that I’ve made with both the sender and photon using the Mammut slings. I actually prefer the senders because they’re just the right size for my slightly above average sized hands they’re not as large as the photons overall, I’m very happy with the senders and they are exceptionally lightweight for my use cases
