I am searching for old rock and ice Magazines and Climbing Magazines.

Any Guidebooks that pertain to the Southeast as well.

Historical photos of Climbers in crags, old pitons and the locations they came from etc...

Hit up the shop in New Paltz. They have a ton of this stuff, I picked up a few last time I was there.

"the shop in New Paltz" = "Rock and Snow"

Where is that?

Never heard of the place.

I was hoping someone here had issues for sale they no longer wanted

I have R&i issues 260-267 plus a few issues after climbing took over. It's a little over 9 lbs of stuff. You can have for free if you pay shipping. I’ll send it media mail if they let me. Pm me to discuss.

Yeah it would be about $10 if media mail  but certain restrictions apply. Not sure what those restrictions are but if I go to the trouble of boxing up and going down there and they tell me it’s package rates $40, I don’t want to have wasted my precious time

at any rate, I think a better idea is for the guy to make a donation to ASCA for whatever the amount is, rather than send me money.

I am looking for all issues the older the better.

I use them to put together timelines of crags and developments in the South.

Also share the stories inside of them when an article pertains to the region.

Thanks again!

I will gladly pay shipping

I've got 16 issues of Climbing from 1993 to 1999.While it doesn't affect the content at all, several were the "subscribers' edition" that featured less text on the cover. These issues were especially attractive, reminiscent of the first couple years of Backpacker mag back in the 70s. Heavy coated paper means these old mags are rather heavy, probably in the 10 lb range for the bunch. I also have newer issues; I haven't pulled them out yet.

LMK if you want me to get a shipping estimate.

If anyone has any magazines from the 80s and 90s that heavily featured City of Rocks content, I would pay for shipping and some additional. Sorry to backpack, but there are a lot of takers here!
