Con permiso if this has already been posted about but I just saw the trailer and...... wow. Looks like a new contender in ridiculous, cheesy movies about climbing:
From the trailer, this seems to have it all. Hopping sideways jump moves, product placement, love story. "Vanity is a deadly thing to bring into these mountains." Anybody see it?
I had the pleasure of watching g this gem of a movie last night on Hulu! Oh man, makes me want to never go mountaineering haha... I thought the filming and location shots of Chamonix was spectacular made it worth the watch. Also some factual climbing happened, and use of equipment properly. Though it had its moments of stupidity and unbelievable-ness. I still enjoyed it and would possibly watch it again. Haha
Charley Radcliffe worked on the filming, and the footage of skiing the Vallee Blanche is really outstanding. You realize that the cameraman also had to be a good skier to capture it. Other than that, Vertical Limit for the 2020s. A climber gets struck by lightning, and there are lots of bouncing foam rocks...
