Well, if the stock laces break easily and don't stayed tied, at least they are super hard to replace...
I had a friend who is a seamstress with small hands do it for me, it sounded like a battle.
I replaced the laces proactively when one started to fray. My plan was to use a larger diameter lace that would be much easier to tie with gloves, but it turned out that the eyelets are so small that I had to use a lace similar in diameter to the original, but the one I finally ended up with is much grippier and holds a knot much better.

I would just advise spending time finding a good pair of laces in you are going to go through the pain in the ass of replacing them. Wish I could be more helpful.
