Hey I work and live part time in Big Sky. I have been climbing alpine rock for around 10 years. I love climbing anything sport and trad 5.6 to 5.12 and love trying boulders up to V8.

I am just trying to connect with a partner or two who would like to play around on the rocks. I have climbed in the Gallatin a couple times and would love to get onto more of the routes around there and try some of the boulders. Beehive Peak is for sure on the list for this year as well.

I have lodging in Big Sky. I am part of a high end timber framing crew that is doing work in The Yellowstone Club. If you are a Montana climber, with framing experience and looking for work, hit me up. I would love to have another climber to talk to at work. We work Monday to Thursday and can play the rest of the week.

Is there a climber Facebook page for Bozeman area? I looked for a couple minutes but did not find anything.

I own a house in Pocatello Idaho and live there the rest of the week. If anyone wants to play at City of Rocks, Tetons or The Fins lets link up.

Thanks for any info and anyone willing to reach out.

Hi Shaun,

There is a Facebook page for Bozeman area climbers, called "Bozeman Area Climbing Community". At the moment it is mostly ice climbing stuff. There is also an ice climbing page, Southwest Montana Ice Conditions. I'm relatively new to the world of climbing, have a season of ice and a year-ish of rock (mostly trad) under my belt, with goals to do more alpine objectives in the future- probably simpler stuff later this year. I visited the City of Rocks briefly and loved it, definitely planning a return trip. I'm not sure how long I'll be around the Bozeman area, whether I'll still be here when rock season happens, or if I'll pass through again later on in the summer/fall. If so, I'd love to get out on more of the multi pitch in the Gallatin Canyon. I've been up Watchtower and Gallatin tower, and really enjoy the feel and variation of the rock/routes in the canyon. Beehive Peak looks like it has fun routes, with beautiful views.

Feel free to PM if you'd like to stay connected and climb some rock together!
