I am looking at getting a new pack for my wife, and one of the challenges is finding locations where she can try on different packs.  She tried on the mission 45 but didn't like the minimal waist belt.  Does anybody know if the stone 45 has a bit more plush waist belt, or how the waist belt compares to the mission 45? my guess is that they have very similar waist belts?  thanks!

also, if anybody has an old mountain hardware direttisima 46 size S/M that is in good shape and they want to get rid of, let me know.

I’m on my second stone 45. Great pack. Very comfortable and well made. Had a mission 55 and didn’t care for how it carried or the fact that it is much lighter material. Could be ok for a lightweight pack but the stone 45 is much more robust. It Carrie’s a big load  comfortably and the side zipper is really nice for accessing stuff you need in the bottom of the pack. Top lid/ pocket has a bottom pocket, a small pocket w zipper inside , and the main pocket has a long zipper that lets you get a surprising amount of stuff in there. Including easy access to  a guidebook. The waist belt is fully supportive and plenty beefy.
Way more comfy than a creek 50 too if you are looking at those. Those things just carry like a haul bag not a pack.
