Crash pads okay in car in Seattle?
|
Coming from small town Wyoming to visit my girlfriend in Seattle. She has a small place so I was wondering if anyone has advice on just leaving my crash pads in my car? Seems like a weird thing to steal but I’m very naive on the subject. Thanks! |

I’d be more concerned about your catalytic converter. But the pads should be fine. |

Realistically I would not leave any gear - or pretty much anything - in a car in any city or trailhead. |

YGD. I mean, throw a shipping blanket or tarp over it and you'll be fine. Car thiefs in the city aren't looking for your fancy sofas, they're looking for small expensive stuff. |

No not safe. Leave nothing if value in your car in plain site. Shit will get stolen and either end up on craigs list or in someones tent as a mattress. |

A summation of this thread and every other goddamned one just like it. I’m 30 years old and just moved out of my parents. I can’t really think for myself so it would be nice if you could tell me what to remove from my car. I want to be a social influencer when I grow up but I’m looking for a safe place for my crash pads in the meantime. I don’t have any meaningful skills to contribute but I don’t think I’m worth less than $200.00 an hour. It can’t be more than 20 hours a week though, so that I can optimize my work-life balance, preferably from home. OP I am just joking but a homeless man might do stuff to your crash pads that you wouldn't even want your car within miles of. |
