Climbing pants for people with thicker thighs/butt

Anyone know any good climbing pants similar to the Prana Stretch Zion or Kuhl Renegade that fit people with regular sized waists but larger sized legs/butts? I’m a 32/34 or 32/32 (dep on brand). But, I find that the above pants (and most brands) are too tight in the legs/butt/crotch while being perfect in the waist. A bit of a pain.

Also, I somehow have a pair of older prana stretch zions 32/34 in khaki that fit perfectly. Not sure why the current ones are so badly fitting. I’d be open to a place to find those as well.

Would appreciate any help. But if there’s nothing, I guess I’ll need to get the pants tailored…

If you have pairs which are tight on the but, but still made of the original "zion" fabric (before they switched to rezion), you might consider wearing them for a bit to see if they stretch out. I have found the original zion fabric stretched to a near comical degree. This might explain your old pair which fits well. I don't know if the newer "rezion" fabric loosens up over time the same way though, so ymmv.

I have stayed the same weight for the last several years, but have a pair of brions from 2018 which I have taken over 2 inches off on each side. Hips and all the way down the legs.

Kind of atypical, but I’ve found these to be my favorite (non alpine) climbing pants. Stretchy, bomber material, loose in the thighs and calves, and cinched at the ankle.

I have found Arcteryx to have very well articulated and spacious thighs and ass, of course very spendy and can't speak for any individual model.

I generally climb in jeans, wrangler levi's, Lee, etc all offer "athletic" fits with more space in the thighs and ass, you may also find any jeans that describe themselves as having a straight cut through the thigh to work well for you.

Oh yeah, the only jeans that fit me are Levi 541s, a true lifesaver. I might just do that. I do like stretchy nylon fabric more though, better breathability.

I've struggled with the same problem. My solution has been to just get the stretchiest pant possible so that it's not a problem if it's a little tight. I have a pair from Kuhl I like but I got it from the clearance rack at REI and I have not been able to figure out what it is from their website. Might be discontinued.

I have the same problem with my OR Ferrosi, so would not recommend them as a solution

Arcteryx gamma fit me great and I rip carhart work pants every few months in the groin because my ass is too big for my waist

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
