Just bought a new pair of climbing shoes looking to get something a little more aggressive. Ive had bad luck with past BD’s but this new pair caught my eye.

I’m curious what other peoples thoughts are on these shoes and feel free to rip on them

My thought is that I would buy shoes from a shoe company.

Reviving this old thread to see if anyone has some experience with the method shoes.  The BD website has a buncha reviews, but seems like most people on there are talk about climbing in the gym and keeping them on for 2 hours at a time.  I pretty much only climb outside and looking for a sport climbing shoe so I'm curious how supportive they are and if they are good edging options.  Have plenty of LS and scarpas but always on the never ending shoe hunt.  Does the rubber actually suck?  Does BD suck at making shoes?

I picked up a couple pair last year. I like the rubber on them. They are relatively soft though, so they aren't very good at edging. Great for smearing and volumes in the gym though.

Great thanks, exactly the feedback I was looking for.  and you're talking about the method (green ones) and not the method s (camo heel), right?

I literally just got my pair this last week, I can give a 1 time use review. I think they do the job of a medium soft shoe just fine. A slightly lower cost LS Solution maybe. I'd worn my TC Pros to the gym reluctantly a few times and disliked the stiffness in a gym setting. The methods fit my need much better in that niche. I'm not one to be ultra picky about the rubber or more fine details so YMMV.

I'm also still new to getting shoe sizes correct, but I initially went with my street shoe size and had to go a half size up. My snug size 10 sneakers translated to a tolerable 10.5 for methods pre-break in.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
