I'm looking for a camping/cabin near Fayetteville.  It doesn't have to have climbing this is just a family trip so no rope involved.

Check out Devil's Den State Park, Hobbs State Park, Blowing Springs, or Coler campgrounds. I've only ever camped at Devil's Den but I've visited the other parks and they all seem pretty nice. The state parks are certainly more out in nature whereas Blowing Springs and Coler are sort of in town, though they are in Bentonville/Bella Vista, so not particularly close to Fayetteville.

Thank you.

Normally Lake Wedington is one of the closer campsites to Fayetteville, but I just looked it up and the campsites are temporarily closed. You could also try Withrow Springs State Park near Huntsville, which is about 40 min from Fayetteville.

Great suggestion!

Devils Den is a good choice for camping.  There's also some Airbnb's in the area that would be worth looking into.

I'll throw out white rock mountain as well.  a bit more remote than some of the other spots mentioned.

White Rock is cool with the CCC cabins and the camping is pretty good even if primitive.

In the end, we just stayed in Fayetteville and hiked in Devil's Den.  That is a very cool park, another Arkansas gem.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
