Butora Altura - Wide v. Narrow
|
So, I’ve got a borderline wide foot and it only seems to be getting wider over time. Can anyone comment on the width difference between the green and orange alturas? I’ve got no place to test them both, but have worn the orange on and off for a while and they seem a touch narrow... I’ve tried contacting butora through their mail system but never received a response. Thanks for any insight! |

If the orange are a touch narrow the wide will be perfect. I wore the orange for an entire season multi pitching and felt they were just a bit too tight. I switched to green and love them. |

I wear the greens, have demoed the oranges. There's definitely a difference in width. They're a very stiff shoe that doesn't really break in, so make sure they fit when they're new. |

Much appreciated. Not sure why Butora hasn’t responded, but it’s good to know a couple firsthand accounts. I may try and scope a pair in the same size as my oranges then and see if the width is better, and if not, maybe throw on some socks. We’ll see |

Hi, M Fazio - thanks for bringing this to light. I am responsible for marketing for Butora in North America. I am unsure why we haven't responded either, as our team usually responds within 24 hours. We value your business and don't want to leave you hanging when you have a question. Would you mind sending me a direct message so I can learn a bit more about your experience? |

Does anyone know where I can get Butora’s resoled? |
|
Anywhere that resoles will do them. If you’re asking about getting them with butora specific rubber, positive resoles in J Tree lists it on their website. |
|
Yup go wide if you have even a slightly wide foot. They are super comfy if not sized tight. |

Backcountry Cobblers is our official resole partner in NA, but like others said there are several places that offer NEO Rubber for resoling. Just make sure they use the correct NEO level that was originally on your shoe as there are multiple varieties with varying stickiness/hardness. |

Thanks again for the insight, everyone. I actually like their rubber pretty well, or at least, once it got pretty worn down. Not sure how it is fresh... though I just sent some shoes to backcountry cobblers, really looking forward to getting them back |
