Sportiva Skwama Sizing
|
I'm about to order the sportiva Skwama online, and am unable to try them on before buying. I'm a 43 street shoe and was planning to order it in 41. This is my first time buying aggressive climb shoes, and I have no experience with how much to downsize. is down 2 sizes adequate, anyone with experience with the skwama plz help |

It would help to know what you’re currently wearing for a climbing shoe. Style and size. You don’t need to destroy your feet by downsizing too much to get performance out of a shoe. Try this- https://sizesquirrel.com/ Edit- 2 sizes sounds like a lot. I’m one size down and I cannot imagine going smaller. |

My average approach shoe in La Sportiva is 42.5 My comfy TC Pros are 42. My sport climbing sized Katanas are 41. I did a 40.5 in the skwama. They were so tight even after 10+ gym sessions I couldn't get any power out of my big toe. I ended up selling them. Size down wisely. |

Connor Fenkell wrote: They barely stretch, most of the shoe is covered in rubber. I own multiple pairs and can say that they fit nearly the same 2 years later as they did out of the box. Other sportiva shoes like the miuras stretch way more. If you have dead space in the heel of your current pair you may also want to consider the women’s version. They have narrower heels. Many men wear women’s sportiva shoes for this reason. |
