Hello fellows, I am looking for a guiding book used to learn climbing techniques for beginners. I climb top-rope indoor. Do you have a recommendation? Thanks, Jonathan
I would just recommend climbing a lot. It's really hard to teach good technique in a book. I think that you should watch this video series. A good idea for training technique is to climb a climb multiple times, and try to work on making the climb feel easier on your subsequent attempts.
Climb a lot yourself. Watch IFSC climbing competitions to absorb how to solve movement problems and also to pick up on the lingo. Watch other climbers. Neil Gresham's Climbing Masterclass is dated but still relevant.
I'll second both the above posts. I learned a ton from Neil Gresham's masterclass when I started climbing. and the movement for climbers series is great as well
