Any ideas? Looks close to Beal but I am not sure. Has anyone tried them?

"All made by Ocun in the Czech Republic."

That's cool that they're making them themselves - and the price is right - on the other hand I am reluctant to be a guinea pig on a new project for a safety device.

If anyone has tried them I remain somewhat curious. Guess they've been out for at least 4 years in the real world.

It’s actually a company named Bolex/Lanex. They have been making climbing ropes in Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic since at least the early 1970s and were quite awful. They are pretty good now, and have made ropes for the likes of Ocun, Trango, Roca and Black Diamond. I don’t believe that you can buy their ropes retail before rebranding/distribution.

These ropes are NOT a new project, and are required to meet all CE requirements as Czech is in the EU.

Just to add, I had a Bolex rope made in 1988. It was terrible!  Fat, heavy, stiff, and the sheath separated from the core. However, it was extremely cheap, and I took plenty of falls on it without dying. I currently have a BD and a Trango made by Lanex, and have no complaints.

Interesting, and the Spirit does look pretty close to the Agility:

Some of my partners in Germany have them. They are nice to climb and whip on.

As others have said, the company is called Lanex, based in the Czech Republic. Lanex is the company name. Tendon is one of Lanex's brands. Lanex also produces Ocun ropes, and others, and rebrands for them. Tendon ropes are popular all over central Europe and the coverage is increasing. Good ropes.

Adam Ondra works there:

I've used Tendon ropes.  They're great.  Very good ropes.

$312 for a 9.5 70m single color w/middle mark on campsaver. At that price I’ll buy a Sterling.

I had a Lanex Tendon, no complaints. As good as any Sterling or Edelweiss I’ve had. Smelled faintly of cigarette smoke when I got it.

my sterling is pretty nice, a bit stiff.

that price over 300$ isn’t interesting but our resident totem salesman has a 9.1 dry 70 for 190$ shipped.
