Alternatives to LS Bushido

I’ve been wearing the Bushido 2 from la sportiva for a few years now, and love them for just about everything, hiking, trail running, as well as semi-technical approaches. Only problem, they don’t last very long - I can only get about 4-5 months of use before the upper starts to shred and the midsole begins to delaminate; they’re intended to be a light weight trail runner so I’m not really surprised. Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a shoe that fits similarly to the Bushido, but is a little more beefed up. I was looking at the Wildcat but that seems to be quite different in terms of cushioning, maybe I’m wrong though.

I've had really great success with the Bushido 2s. Both pairs the tread has worn down well before the upper is in trouble. Too bad to hear about yours.

Regardless, definitely do not buy the Wildcats. Myself and four other people I know have all had their Wildcats blow out on the side of the foot near the pinkie toe knuckle area. There just isn't any real support on the side of the shoe there. If you think the Bushidos aren't durable, then the Wildcats are worse.

The Mutant is a step up from the Bushido for durability and distance on technical trails.  The Wildcat is a different class of shoe.

Thanks for the help!
